Next quarter of study begins October 10, 2008
with "The Counseling Process" Class
Applications are now being accepted.
Classes held 2nd weekend of each month
1 to 9 p.m. on Fridays AND
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays
15 hours per weekend; 45 hours per quarter

Assessment and treatment of Co-occurring Disorders
is the trend of the future
in the addictions counseling field.
LASACT offers a home study course on that topic for 12
hours of continuing education credit towards recertification.

available by mail order and/or online for continuing education

Supervision Class is now

Receipt for registration for online class MUST
BE
e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to LASACT
in order to obtain supervision waiver from ADRA.
LASACT will continue to hold a
classroom style class
when enough people are registered to warrant one.
Tentatively next class is Fall, 2008
Class

from the classroom style class to the online course.

Kristen Reed Gabrielsen, Nora Luna, and Denise Grothaus is
recommended reading for those interested in becoming certified as
