Class size is limited. Students accepted on first come, first served basis.
Classes are held one weekend of each month
1 to 9 p.m. on Fridays AND 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays
15 hours per weekend; 45 hours per quarter; 180 hours per year
Mandatory Orientation Session for New Students at 10 a.m. on first Friday of each quarter.

Assessment and treatment of Co-occurring Disorders is the trend of the future in the addictions counseling field.
LASACT offers a home study course on that topic for 12 hours of continuing education credit towards recertification.

Louisiana Association of Substance Abuse Counselors and Trainers is pleased to have partnered with the Distance Learning Center for Addiction Studies to
offer online distance learning coursework to individuals seeking credentialing as well as counselors needing continuing education credit.
DLCAS Classes and Recertification Hours

The workshop will be on November 19, 2011 for the December 9 & 10 test cycle
Registered CIT's may apply for Betty Breen Memorial Tuition Foundation Scholarships for these workshops.
However, the Betty Breen funds are extremely limited at this time.
Supervision Course is now available online at DLCAS
Certificate of completion of online class MUST BE e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to LASACT.
Online course must be completed in order to get a supervision waiver from ADRA. Candidates who are not under regulation of ADRA (LAC, CAC, or RAC),
must also submit a portfolio for the Substance Abuse Specialty Certificate (SASC), and it must be approved before a waiver will be granted.
LASACT offers the SASC free of charge to its members who meet the requirements.
