LASACT ANNUAL ELECTIONS

The 33rd Annual Conference of LASACT is scheduled for July 25 - 28 at the Sheraton Hotel, Canal St. New Orleans, LA.
The annual LASACT business meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 27th. 

The following LASACT offices are open:

GUIDELINES FOR LOUISIANA ADDICTION
PROFESSIONALS AND PROVIDERS OF THE YEAR
NOMINATIONS IN ALL CATEGORIES (I.E. SUBSTANCE
ABUSE, PREVENTION, GAMBLING, CLINICAL SUPERVISOR,
ADDICTION SERVICE AND PREVENTION PROVIDERS)
 

All Individual Nominees must be:

• Currently registered with the Addictive Disorders Regulatory Authority and have
   held their status for a minimum of one year.
• Free of prior or pending legal/ethical violations.

All Provider Nominees must be:

• Currently in compliance with legal/ethical/state standards
• In operation for a minimum of one year

Preference is given to LASACT individual or organizational members

The following items must be submitted to support nominations:

Louisiana Addiction Counselor of the Year Nominees: (LAC, CAC, RAC)
  
Documentation of addiction counseling skills.

          Louisiana Prevention Professional of the Year Nominees: (LPP, CPP, RPP)
            
Documentation of substance abuse prevention skills

Louisiana Gambling Counselor of the Year Nominees: (CCGC)
  
Documentation of skills in counseling compulsive gamblers.

Louisiana CIT of the Year Nominees:
 
  Reference letter from supervisor assessing counseling and work performance

Louisiana PSIT of the Year Nominees:
  
Reference letter from supervisor assessing substance abuse prevention and work performance

Louisiana CCS of the Year Nominees:
  
Reference letter assessing supervisory skills and work performance.

Louisiana Addiction Service Provider of the Year:
 
Documentation of innovative programming
  Evidence of hiring priority given to credentialed Addiction Professionals
  Demonstrated support of LASACT’s mission

Louisiana Prevention Service Provider of the Year:
 
Documentation of innovative programming
  Evidence of hiring priority given to credentialed Prevention Professionals
  Demonstrated support of LASACT’s mission
